A practical family van, a trendy sports car or a spacious all-terrain vehicle: Internet users from eight countries will be able to vote for Europe's favourite cars at the 11th Internet Auto Awards. The race for the coveted AutoScout24 online vehicle market award will be a hard-fought: A choice is to be made between 66 innovative models, all dated 2012, in the two categories "Best Car" and "Best Electric Vehicle". In addition to the online vote, the editors of AutoScout24 magazine will be awarding prizes to vehicles in the two special categories "Technology/Design" and "Future".
Who will win?
"Electric vehicles will play an even bigger role in the automotive market of the future. This is why we decided to make this category equivalent to that of our best car selection," said Alberto Sanz, executive director of AutoScout24. Users will be able to decide between 14 January and 15 March 2013 who will take home the CAROLINA trophy by voting on http://www.internetautoaward.com. It's worth your while to participate: AutoScout24 will hold a prize draw for a Mercedes Benz A 250 sports car and an Opel Adam among all participants. "As Europe's largest online car market, we look forward to an exciting competition," said Alberto Sanz.
During the previous Internet Auto Awards, about 162,000 online users in Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and Spain cast their virtual votes online. The Opel Ampera was the overall winner to be voted Europe's most popular car.
